Our Philosophy:

We created these tours for at least two reasons:

1. To show you a side of the city you would never know existed. To put you in touch with the real people in Berlin, and to show you just what they do in their everyday lives. Not the ticket sellers, museum attendants or tourists at the Brandenburg Gate. How many cities have you been to and have hardly met, let alone spoken to, a local? How many monuments, cathedrals and museums can you possibly see before they all look the same and you get Stendhal syndrome?

We believe that there are like-minded people out there and we want to meet you!

2. To help out local businesses, establishments, and culture. To protect the very thing that makes Berlin such an incredible city. Berlin lifestyle and culture is under threat from greedy investors, corporations and companies that just want to cash in, exploit, and destroy its underground charm.

We do our part by encouraging you to support and experience Berlin as a Berliner sees it among friends in small, inoffensive, unobtrusive groups. It's about respect not greed!

Our tours are a breakaway from mainstream, scripted tours. Our tours are idiosyncratic and unique, our intentions honest; we put in to what we take out. We treat ever guest like a new friend and respect the turf we tread.

Since we believe in common decency and friendly, fair economy, we can whip up something to your exact specifications. We have worked with everyone from rock bands and urban explorers to non-profit groups, universities and postgrad programs. Be it outrageous parties or academic discussions, we can do it.
